A low sugar diet is proven to improve the condition of the skin and as such, it will definitely help your skin to adapt to sun exposure more quickly. I used to suffer greatly from sunburn and prickly heat and this was caused by two things. Firstly, I had failed to build up my exposure to the sun gradually (increasing natural melanin production) and secondly, my liking for chocolate cake meant that my natural hormonal balance was not perfect.
